Hey ladies!! I've thought about you all lots this past week...I miss you all! That being said I just wanted to let everyone know that this Saturday (see date in title) I will be working with Transform at Calhoun. If you would like to join me, and a couple hundred others, please come. I am going to try to get to Calhoun between 7:45 and 8am, for registration. Join me if you can!

Ahhhhh! Dear Lord help me...

Can someone please share some scriptures on frustration regarding your co-workers? I am STRESSED to the max today... to the point that I want to crawl into a hole and tell the world I'm on permenant vacation. I love my job, but I am overloaded. I depend so much on others to make the intricacies of our office flow well and when they let me down I feel like the world is crumbling.

This really makes you think about how far our society has come, where we currently are, and where we are going...

ANGER...

Anger turns to sin when it is selfishly motivated (James 1:20), when God’s goal is distorted (1 Corinthians 10:31), or when anger is allowed to linger (Ephesians 4:26-27).
Ephesians 4:15, 19 says we are to speak the truth in love and to use our words to build others up, and not to allow rotten or destructive words to pour from our lips. Unfortunately, this poisonous speech is a common characteristic of fallen man (Romans 3:13-14).
Anger becomes sin when it is allowed to boil over without restraint, resulting in a scenario in which everyone around is hurt (Proverbs 29:11), leaving devastation in its wake, often with irreparable consequences. Anger also becomes sin when the angry one refuses to be pacified, holds a grudge, or keeps it all inside (Ephesians 4:26-27). This can cause depression and irritability over any little thing, often things unrelated to the underlying problem.

What are ways that you can truly deal with the underlying problems that lead to the anger you are holding on to?

What would the world look like if Christians learned to control their anger in a more Godly way?

Are you angry?

Paul declares, “Be angry but do not sin; do not let the sun go down on your anger” (Eph 4:26 RSV). Paul clearly indicates that we can feel angry without sinning.
The point, then, isn’t that anger is a sinful emotion but a dangerous one. When we examine the New Testament thoroughly on the point, in fact, we never find it condemning any emotion as sinful in itself. It’s always the action which proceeds from an emotion that is judged sinful. If we believe that the feeling of anger is sinful, we’ll be inclined to judge ourselves unfairly whenever we feel angry. We’ll assume that God is displeased with us, and we may find it harder to approach him for help. We’ll be likely to repress the feeling of anger, with all the psychological backlash that can result. If we can accept our feelings of anger as normal, human and not condemned by God, then we’ll find it easier to own these emotions, work through them and move beyond them.
